אפריל הגיע אקשן בא, צפון קוריאה הודיעה כי בין ה-4 ל-8 באפריל היא תשגר לווין. לכאורה העניין איננו שערוריתי, אך התכונות הנדרשות מהטיל המשלח של הלווין הופכות אותו לאיום פוטנציאלי ולהפרה אפשרית של החלטת מועצת הביטחון באו”ם 1718 (14 באוקטובר 2006), החלטה זו אוסרת על צפון קוריאה לקיים ניסויים בנשק גרעיני ובטילים בליסטים.

“This DOE memo shows that the Lab admits that 67 computers are currently ‘missing’, and that 13 have been lost or stolen in the past year alone,” says Danielle Brian, Executive Director of POGO. “It is troubling that the contractor only informed the government of this during investigations into the most recent thefts.”

במאמר שהתפרסם היום ב”הארץ” נטען כי ארצות הברית מתכוונת להציע לישראל מטריית הגנה גרעינית. פרוש הדבר שארצות הברית מאיימת בתגובה גרעינית כנגד התקפה גרעינית מצד אירן על ישראל. כותבי המאמר מצטטים בכיר בממשל בוש שטוען (בצדק) כי האיום האמריקאי אינו אמין.
